Tech Tip 24: How to Search a Document..

When you have a very large Word or PDF document, and you want to look for a particular string of words, imagine scrolling down through all the pages or through the table of contents and guessing which page out of hundreds of them might just be the right one you need at that time!!

The most easiest way to perform a search on documents is Ctrl+F. You won’t believe how simple and great this ‘Find’ function is. I’ve used it many times and I always get what I’m looking for. Not only Word or PDF documents, you can also carry out a search on a web page! Go ahead and key in Ctrl+F right now and see what you get! It is a very powerful search tool and also very useful when you’re working with many documents.
